1. What types of immigration cases do you provide evaluations for?
We offer mental health evaluations for a variety of immigration cases including:

2. What does the immigration evaluation process look like?
The evaluation process includes:

Free consultation to ensure we can assist

2–3 clinical interview sessions (totaling about 4–6 hours)

Use of self-assessment scales such as the PHQ-9, GAD-7, and PCL-5

A mental status exam

A comprehensive 10–12 page report

Coordination and communication with your attorney
3. How much does an evaluation cost?
The standard fee is $1000. You may:

Pay in full upfront

Split the payment: 50% before your first session and 50% before receiving the final report

An expedited report (delivered within one week of the final interview) is available for an additional $500, paid upfront and subject to availability.
4. How long will it take to receive my report?
Your evaluation report will typically be ready within 3 weeks of your final interview with me. If you need it sooner, you may request an expedited report for an additional fee.
5. Do you include supporting documents in the report?
No. While we may quote from medical reports, assessments, police reports, etc., we do not include full documents in the evaluation. Clients are responsible for providing these documents to their attorneys.
6. Can you complete Form N-648 for my case?
Form N-648 must be completed by a licensed physician or clinical psychologist. We do not complete this form.
7. What languages do you offer services in?
We offer services in English and French. Grace is a native French speaker.
8. Where do sessions take place?
All therapy sessions and most mental health immigration evaluations are conducted virtually. In-person meetings for immigration evaluations may be arranged on a case-by-case basis.
9. What payment methods do you accept?

10. Do you accept insurance for therapy sessions?
At this time, we do not accept insurance for therapy sessions. Payment is made privately (out-of-pocket). This allows for greater flexibility, privacy, and control over your mental health care without the constraints of insurance networks.
11. Is insurance accepted for immigration evaluations?
No. Immigration evaluations are not covered by health insurance as they are considered a legal, not medical, service. These evaluations are paid for privately and are often used in collaboration with an immigration attorney.
12. How often will I attend therapy sessions?
Therapy sessions are typically held weekly or biweekly, depending on your needs and availability. Monthly sessions can also be offered. We’ll decide together on a schedule that supports your goals.
13. What can I expect in the first session?
The first session is an opportunity to get to know each other. We’ll explore your reasons for seeking therapy, discuss your history, and identify goals for treatment. It’s a safe, judgment-free space to begin your healing journey.
14. How long is each session?
Individual therapy sessions are approximately 55 minutes long.
15. Do you offer therapy for couples?
Yes, we offer couples therapy specifically focused on navigating cultural differences. These sessions help couples communicate more effectively, understand each other's backgrounds, and work through challenges related to identity, family expectations, and values.
16. Do you offer therapy in French?
Yes! Grace is a native French speaker and offer therapy services in both French and English. Grace also work with couples navigating language differences—if one partner speaks French and the other speaks English, she can facilitate sessions in both languages to support clearer communication and mutual understanding. This bilingual approach can help bridge the gap and create a more inclusive and supportive space for both partners.
